"Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da, life goes on, brah!....
Lala how the life goes on" (and quickly at that)

Cros and his first pony ride
We are finally sitting down and realized that almost 2 months have flown by since we broke the wonderful news of baby #2. We are trying to get things in order, getting rid of our guest bedroom furniture for our new "guest" of honor! Planning out the nursery seems to be a bit more difficult the second time around. I feel like we may have exhausted our only creative juices when planning Crosby's room but we have a few ideas. Phew!
We are going to welcome another little boy, Kipton Jude Fenniman!!! Name games are never fun but Erik really liked Kipton and honestly all I could think about was the cute guy on the Bachelorette. I too liked the name but was searching for something else. Well, the more I thought about it I really did like it as well as "Kip" which is probably what he will go by since Crosby is mainly Cros. Jude was pretty much a no brainer for me. Crosby's middle name came from our dads and I wanted to somehow incorporate my mom into a name. My dad always called my mom Jude and Crosby loves the Beatles CD so to me it was very fitting....and there you have it....Kipton Jude.
Crosby will have a brother and he will proudly tell you that. He loves to see the baby in mommy's tummy and wants to talk to his brother as well as pull up his shirt to share his own baby.
Video link below is Crosby sharing his tummy after saying "ohmpa" as if he is some Greek gent :)
It is so amazing to watch him grow into a new role already. He lets us know that he will feed the baby, kiss him, and let him sleep in the crib. I really believe that he will embrace his new role as best as he can.
Crosby admiring the ever growing baby bump....yes, the sticker was stuck to his face for an hour and he never realized it.... Bad mom? Nah....just needed some really good laughs!
Crosby is still such a little smartie! (I am a proud mom who is probably very bias). His vocabulary is pretty extensive. I have no idea the amount of words, which I guess is how some web sites gauge development (???) He's using complete sentences, truly understands concepts, has a great memory and can hold a conversation for quite some time. I guess all of that comes with the maturation process.

We just recently traveled to Cordele, GA for a Day out with Thomas the tank engine. Crosby loves his trains, can name them all and we thought it would be great to take him to meet the engine in person. The trip was a success and Crosby is still elated with the thoughts...referencing the day and story telling. I imagine that things like that never get old for a parent. It was amazing to see the thrill and awe in his eyes, the mouth gaping open and hearing the ooh' and ahh's. It is so heartwarming! Being a parent is beyond words and I'm so lucky to help guide yet another little man! I'm so excited and blessed!
Crosby with his best bud Alex on their first train ride!
Halloween was a HIT! Crosby was a golfer and a very cute one at that. He embraced trick or treating and would BOLT from door to door. It didn't take him long at all to scream trick or treat at the neighbors, grab a handful (or 2) of candy and scream, "thank you, welcome" and take off. We enjoyed the day with friends at our house for some Gator football and then treats! Had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year with Kip in tow!
Crosby in music class....I accidentally deleted ALL my pictures from Halloween, UGH!
Erik is doing well. He has been out of town so often that it was taking a toll on all of us but hopefully it is the end of the long awaited trial!!! He's ours again! He and I celebrated our 5th anniversary on September 11th and Erik made sure to point out that we had been together "almost 2 high schools"....yes folks that translates to almost 8 years. (We've been together 7 yrs)I will help those of you along who may not be able to follow along with the Erikisms :) He cracks me up! He also asked me when my "ligustrum would be coming in".....I proceeded to let him know that the ligustrum was the tree growing outside our bedroom window and that my colostrum would be what the baby would eat for the first time (and yes folks he was an active participant in Crosby's infanthood) :) A few days later we had a doctor appointment with my OB. Well he kindly asked if this would be a "vaginal inspection"....ummm....he joined me for EVERY appointment when I was preggo with Cros and never did anyone refer to an exam as if we were lined up for an oil change. He makes me scratch my head in amazement but at the same time there is such an innocence to him :) Gotta love Erik! Needless to say there was no "inspection" just the use of a doppler and simple questions. Crosby was able to hear the "heartbeep" and all was well.
We are now 19 weeks and 2 days....almost halfway there. I am much bigger this go round which is scary but completely worth it. I LOVE being pregnant even given the discomfort. I remember swearing that I would never forget the feeling of the baby kicking but sadly you do. You remember that it is an amazing gift you are given but the actual feeling is something that is so unique. I love those random act of kindness, the jabs in the gut :) It really will take you back to the simple things and that is simply love your family! I am so excited and can't wait to meet our next little blessing. In a way I hope he is everything Crosby is but not....if that makes any sense. We wonder if he will be another blue/green eyed toe head or will he inherit the olive skin and dark hair? Only time will tell!

Starting 'em young!
