"Just a smidgen"

Okay, we are now 35 wks, 1 day and I'm starting to wonder if the pregnancy will end. Our doctor calls it the TOBP stage....tired of being pregnant. I wouldn't say that I'm tired of it at all but I have a feeling these last few weeks are going to feel like an eternity. The anticipation of "when" is going to eat me alive. As to where "anything could happen" could have happened at any point in the pregnancy this is really the time when it's supposed to happen.

We had and appointment this morning and met with Dr. Rosenberg. She's a little petite gal and very nice. Okay, I love her because she told us that we were "dilated a smidgen, about 1/2 cm". You know what, I'll take it! It means someone is getting ready for their debut in the next few weeks...things are moving right along! I'm really excited about this but also realize that we have 5 wks left so yes, I've had my reality check! Crosby is head down and will stay in mid-summersault position until his arrival. I had my GBS culture done (no biggie) and all of our appts are now scheduled for the next 5 wks!

Our last child birth class was last night and Erik and I were bummed to say good-bye to everyone. We have email addresses so I hope that we will keep in touch. We ended the evening binging on TCBY with another couple Steve and Patty. Once we got home we were on a crazed frenzy to get our bags packed and pack we did! I think the best thing for us was to have made a list when we were relaxed and could easily list things we would like to have at the hospital. I have my list of must have CD's, a canister of pink tennis balls so Erik can massage my lower back (it really works), and the camcorder charged and ready to go.

Smidgen or not, we are prepared when the time comes. Now it's a waiting game to see when Crosby will truly let us know when he's ready to come out or a waiting game to see how long it takes me to freak out that in one night I go to the bathroom 10 times :)
