Holy huge belly!

Today marks week 36, the beginning of our 9th month, home stretch, crunch time, call it what you will......it's almost the end! We got back from our appt this morning with Dr. McAlpine and he gave us some good news... we are now 1-2 cm dilated, 50% effaced, and at 0 station! We are moving right along and we're very excited. We ended up having another internal exam because I was having some cramping which again, totally normal. Next week our appt is with Dr. OBryan and I hope that he can deliver some more good news. I guess we can only progress from here...YEAH! We're due January 8th but I'm wondering if Crosby will come sooner. Anyone placing any bets?

Erik was so excited. With a "way to go babe" while rubbing my back, he made me feel like I did some great deed by having Crosby scooch closer to the finish line. He says that I'm "cooking him up well". No kidding, this will be the best "thing" I've ever served up!

Crosby continues to squirm around in his small loft apartment. No penthouse these days. As to where his kicks and punches were so distinct now they are more of a shift from side to side. When he hiccups there is more pressure on my cervix and when he is awake and dancing, ooh baby, do I feel it. It is such a neat feeling still! I love it when he decides to slam his feet against the right side of my belly and I then tickle them. He instantly squirms away and then when my hand moves he kicks right back. We have established a relationship already and I can't wait to meet him. I still fear labor and delivery but every pain and hour that passes will only bring my closer to my son!

Holy huge belly!
