Not much longer!
We are now 33wks and counting. The home stretch is soon to begin. I can't believe that in 7 weeks we will welcome Crosby but more of an eye opener for some of you is that Christmas isn't that far away either.....get shopping :) I still feel great with a few normal discomforts. After working a 12 hour shift my feet are killing me and my gorgeous varicose veins flare up... yummy! It all comes with the territory, just like gaining 5 more lbs since our last appointment. Crosby is a little over 4 pounds and he's expected to gain about 1/2 ounce each week. Not sure why his 1/2 ounce equals a pound a week for me but who will argue with mother nature? I'm also trying to cope with the fact that I have limitations and moving slower is a new concept. We will have an exam next appointment and Dr. McAlpine with verify if Crosby is head down. Poor little guy is so crammed in there that I could easily tell you that his feet are nuzzled in my ribs right now!
I was fortunate to have another shower, one thrown by my co-worker and friend Kelly. It was a nursery rhyme theme with the most amazing decorations! We had a house full of nurses and it was great, Crosby was surrounded by so much love. He was spoiled rotten and Erik and I are so grateful for all of our goodies. Everyone went above and beyond and again thank you! Kelly put on a great party from the games to the party favors, it was beautiful!
We had another batch of maternity pictures taken and it is truly amazing how someone can capture exactly how you feel on film. It was very clear that I have embraced our pregnancy! Whoa! Now choosing which photos to purchase will be difficult!!!
This evening we will head to our second birthing class. Last Tuesday started the, "this is it" stage. We have been registered for our class for months and realized that time is ticking for this little one to come. We have a great group of people in our class. Erik and I saw our dentist and his wife along with a old UF fraternity brother of Eriks...SMALL world! We're are hoping to establish some friendships and play groups out of this experience with all of our kiddos being so close in age...we'll see.
