Our Little Pumpkin

We are 28 wks and counting! On Tuesday Erik and I decided to help ring in the fall season and Halloween with our very own pumpkin. I found a pumpkin that was about 2 1/2 pounds, the last estimate we were given for Crosby's weight (2 wks ago). It was neat putting it all in perspective. Since Crosby isn't here to dress up in costume we decided to include him the best we could! Erik flashed back to his elementary days in art class and proceeded to decorate his pumpkin, my belly! With Crosby kicking and moving around Erik managed to complete his "masterpiece", a simple yet loving pumpkin face. It was so cute watching him put such an effort into making it "just right". He is great!!!! Sometimes I really believe that everyone deserves an "Erik"!

Here we are at The Pumpkin Patch

Mako trying to understand what is "taking over" mommy

This morning at work I was fortunate enough to sit in a room with the gals and Tim, our ultrasound guru. We were all an audience to Crosby. Tim measured our little dude and so far his head is 27cm and his abdomen 26cm, the average size for a 30 weeker. His femur measured 5.2 cm, the normal size for a 28 weeker. Tim also gave me a rough estimate of his weight, a whopping 3lbs 2 oz. We've got ourselves a healthy growing baby boy within all normal ranges for growth! After all the measuring and poking we caught a glimpse of his adorable face. It was 5am and he was bored with it all and we all witnessed a dramatic yawn. Too cute and much like his mommy already!

Great job Erik. What a neat idea. Somebody is really creative. Crosby is such a blessed litle "dude" (as Desirae calls him) to have such wonderful and loving parents. Thanks for keeping me posted. He will be here before you know it. love, Debbie

Great job Erik! I don't know who came up with the idea, but it is such a neat one. Someone sure is creative. I am so happy for you two. Crosby couldn't have better parents. He is a lucky little dude as you call him. Thanks for keeping me updated. love, Debbie
