Kowabunga

Well, Erik and I decided to have a "Mako Day" so we took the pooch to the beach. He of course loved it. We were the only one's there! I love Alligator Point for this very reason. Mako ran up and down the beach chasing sandpipers, jumping into the waves and surfing them back to shore. He had a blast and so did we. I ventured out in a bikini which was yucky. Hmm... maybe that's why the beach was empty?

Erik and I hit the water which was interesting to say the least. Mako HAD to be by me and make sure that I was okay but in doing so he stepped on me in not so nice places, scratches running up and down my limbs and back. The seaweed wasn't too thick but did float around and that grossed me out so while I was looking out for a clearing I spotted a few jelly fish so out of the water we went. After the tide came in the jelly fish went on their merry way and we hit the water again. The waves were a bit bigger and a lot of fun. Again I was tackled by my ever loving and loyal dog which caused me to get smacked in the face repeatedly by waves causing me to lose my balance and fall all over the place. I must have looked like Lindsey Lohan taking yet another sobriety test....and failing! Erik slowly came to my rescue but in doing so he gave me a nice knee to the groin which in turn caused another wowzer fall and Mako trying to help me. After finally crawling to shore with my hair matted to my face, scratches from what looked like an attack with sandpaper and a dog, and a concern that Little Fennie couldn't tell right from left, I decided that the ocean won and I was to sit out for the next round. Hmmm....it must have been the fat preggo bod in the bikini that caused the jinx! I did, however, have Erik grab a picture before all of the festivities started. There is a belly but again, it's still a baby pushing up on my "pooch". You all know what I'm talking about! The frumpy dress also helps with what "bump" could be there.

In other fun baby news...my cousin, Vicky, is having a girl. She is actually a little less than 2 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy which I think is pretty neat. Also, one of my dear friends is joining the preggo club. I'm so excited more so for her than I am for myself....weird but true. I can't wait to here how her pregnancy is and it's great that I can go through this "with" someone so close to me. It makes everything more special to share moments and just here the joy in a new momma's email or voice. I love it! All aboard the baby train, arriving in 2008!

Count down.....5 days and our surprise "tenant" will be revealed! Stay tuned!!!!
